It's probably not great to get off on watching your friend eat when he doesn't know, right? Especially when his relationship with food is... Complicated. Still, there's no need to perform for an audience that's not present. Maybe we could all use a little indulgence from time to time.

Japan visits America at his summer cabin in the Rocky Mountains for a well-needed break. It's an enlightening trip.

I honestly don't know what this is. It started out as one thing and became another, and I... Think I'm happy with it? But it's a little bit of a meandering mess, I suppose.

I really like USJP. It's definitely my OTP, and many of my favorite bits of canon come from their interactions. There's something about their friendship that's very fun and sweet, and I think that comes in no small part from the fact that Hima studied in the US? I sometimes wonder if America wouldn't be a very different character if he hadn't!

Anyway. There's a lot of fic out there about America's body image issues and his food issues and his insecurities about both, but I wanted to approach it a little differently here and I think I did? But I don't know how successful this was in general. It's got some kudos though so that's very nice! I wasn't sure anyone would want to read it at all, lmao.
