Crafts Update!

Both are meant to be slightly slouchy, neither actually turned out quite as slouchy as I was expecting, but they're done and that's more than I can say for a lot of crochet projects I started. The mostly pink one was made out of a variegated yarn that I... expected to have shorter color changes, so it was not intended to be almost entirely pink, but that's what happened. I absolutely love the color of the purple one though.
I try to crochet something for my mom and aunt every year and this is my aunt's gift for this year. It's an oversized scarf made out of yarn that she bought me as a gift last year (Red Heart Jumbo Stripes in color neon stripe) and I'm not, like, thrilled with the way it feels but I love the way it looks. I'm going to try and wash the scarf to soften it and hopefully it'll be a little nicer. The pattern is Sweet Bee Crochet's Granny Rows Scarf. The yarn is a size bigger than her pattern calls for and I used a 5.5mm hook, so it turned out noticeably oversized.
And this is my mom's! I used Hooked on Homemade Happiness's Granny Stripe scarf pattern for this. I made it in Halloween colors because my mom LOVES Halloween. I did NOT use the foundation chain described in this pattern btw because I was having trouble with it and got frustrated and gave up... Lmao. That would explain why it curves kinda funny.
This year is the first year I've tried to do a cross stitch temperature chart and I love it, but it's taking... forever. As you can see, I'm only in February. It is now December 15...
I used this pattern and if you look closely you can see I've made a mistake in the year numbers, but I noticed right after I did it and decided I would rather not fix it.

This will be a gift for my mom, but once I'm done with that I'm making one for me, too. Pattern here.
